The work has resulted in the creation of an SDX controller in use across continents and supported four Ph.D. students and two MS students. Additionally, graduate, ungraduated, and high school students were engaged via various programs. The Research Education for Undergraduate (REU) had eight students; the Vertically Integrated Program (VIP) at FIU School of Computing and Information Sciences had 36 students; the Summer Youth Internship Program (SYIP) had three students; the Federal Work-Study programs had two students and one IT internship. About 19% were girls from STEM majors. Demographics include 48 % Hispanic, 30 % Caucasian, 15% African American, and 7% Indian.
