AmLight Cyberinfrastructure highlighted at NSF 2024 Research Infrastructure Workshop
AmLight Cyberinfrastructure was highlighted at the NSF 2024 Research Infrastructure Workshop. The U.S. National Science Foundation’s (NSF) Research Infrastructure Office (RIO) hosted the workshop from March 26 – 29, 2024, in Tucson, AZ.
Attendees had the option to attend the workshop, co-hosted by NSF’s NOIRLab and the University of Arizona’s Biosphere 2 and its Richard F. Caris Mirror Lab Facility, in-person or virtually. Those who joined in person had the option to attend tours of local scientific facilities.
The Research Infrastructure Workshop served as a collaborative forum for all the U.S. National Science Foundation’s Research Infrastructure Projects. The workshop aimed to support NSF’s mission and promote the scientific endeavor with the following desired outcomes:
- Provided a forum to collect and exchange best practices and lessons learned that elevated the shared knowledge base
- Discussed new initiatives and collected community input
- Demonstrated project management, operations, and business-related tools and techniques
- Expanded the community of practice by connecting colleagues across disciplines and organizations to promote collaboration between facilities
